Don't underestimate the ability of institutions to push this to a PE of 20 and above. Then they'll tell retail information technology's a strong buy so they accept liquidity to sell at over $1,000 a share.

My visitor is in the import/export. ZIM is well established and highly regarded. The P/E is depression, EPS is high, & Div. The demand for ocean freight is e'er increasing as are their profits. Enjoy the ride up

How can a company projection and deliver $49 in almanac earnings, return fifty to 75% dorsum in dividends, and trade at its annual earnings price?! What am I missing here? Look at these companies that are risky and losing money like ROKU, Teledoc, and a hundred others. Look at Crocs, D sporting goods, CSX. Proper name a single industry that trades a 1x earnings and has contracts locked in for next xviii months and tons of cash to put to work. Seriously. Why are these shipping stocks and ZIM in particular trading so low relative to rest sheet, earnings, PE?!

Hapag has a sharp investor presentation on their website, pretty much relevant to ZIM. 2 things: they refer to charter costs going up, ZIM is at to the lowest degree partially hedged against that. And they look fuel to be more expensive (or peradventure I've got that incorrect): how is that? It's down from $120 to $90.
They too mention their investment in real time dry container tracking (seems that they don't have real time tracking for now). I believe that has been completed long ago on ZIMs containers, ZIM is the nigh digitised actor IMO.
They also investing in a more carbon friendly and fuel efficient fleet, just like ZIM.
And i last thing, although everything looks great, Hapag stock is now trading well within the red.
